My Take

J.T. Barrett is my favorite QB prospect of the guys that are not locks to be drafted. In fact, Barrett is projected to go undrafted despite his statistical prowess at the college level. Pessimists will point to his legs as a reason for that, and say that his arm is not NFL-caliber. However, he only trails Baker Mayfield, Mason Rudolph, Logan Woodside, and Sam Darnold in career AY/A* among the 2018 QB class. His size is not ideal, but Tyrod Taylor represents a nice success story to shape his game around. Strong college efficiency on its own does not make a prospect great, but I'd rather take a shot on Barrett late in the draft than the guys typically mocked in that range.
